Ceremonial and grand opening of IMPREG (Suzhou), Co. Ltd. in Taicang, China

New Production site in China

After intensive preparations, the IMPREG Group has finally opened its new production plant in Taicang (Greater Shanghai) in September 2017. This new production site will be run by their general manager Kaj Evald Pedersen.

IMPREG (Suzhou), Co. Ltd., forms the new hub for the Asian-Pacific market. The grand opening of this production facility emphasizes the worldwide growing presence of the IMPREG Group. And also represents an important milestone in the development of the Asian market.

German standards

The whole production, i.e. the manufacturing of dry liners as well as the impregnation, was built following the production facilities set by IMPREG Germany.

After extensive training of the Chinese staff locally and in Germany, IMPREG (Suzhou), Co. Ltd. will now manufacture UV liners from DN 150 mm up to DN 1600 mm according to German quality standards and on German production equipment. The first liners have already being produced and thus secure the production utilization.

Grand opening with international guests

On the day of the opening, about 90 invited guests, including customers, suppliers, and representatives from municipalities from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Shanghai as well as colleagues from Germany and Denmark were present to celebrate this day with IMPREG (Suzhou), Co. Ltd..

After all guests had signed on a large banner, a rich Chinese-German buffet was prepared. During lunch, all guests had the opportunity to get to know the Asian partners and customers.

After lunchtime, the official part of the ceremony started. Within this framework, Jacob Bergenholtz (BWB Group), Robert Papp (IMPREG GmbH), Kirk Du (IMPREG Suzhou) as well as Chinese customers held speeches.

After the ribbon cutting, a traditional Chinese Lion Dance followed, in which the performers, dressed as lions, imitated the gestures and movements of a lion.

Following this entertaining performance, the guests were guided through the new production facilities.

Prior to enjoy a delightful dinner in a German restaurant in Taicang, all guests had the opportunity to learn about current developments in the industry as part of a discussion forum chaired by the general manager of IMPREG (Suzhou), Co. Ltd, Kaj Evald Pedersen.
